See that? That tiny ball of yarn? That tiny ball of yarn containing fewer than three yards (double stranded)? That tiny ball of yarn smaller than a cat’s paw? Yep. Not that I was worried. Not me.

And … so … okay. This purple is the hallowed yarn called Malabrigo, and … am I missing something? The yarn is densely spun, with very little stretch to the fibers — almost like cotton. My experience was not so much “angels singing” as “annual examination of my female parts.” Not terrible, but not so great either; I got through a long portion by just holding still and keeping my eyes shut. Not quite what I was hoping for.

Ah well. Onward, onward! to the next half …
